smsGuardian is an anti-fraud text alert notification service that will send transaction alerts directly to your mobile phone or other SMS-enabled device in the event there is suspicious activity on your ATM/Debit card. This added layer of security enables fraudulent activity to be identified and stopped, significantly reducing the likelihood that subsequent unauthorized transactions will occur. If any text alert you receive is in fact not your transaction, you will reject the text by following the information provided in the text alert. The information will immediately be sent to a fraud analyst, and the analyst will block the card and attempt to contact you by phone.

The system will only send messages concerning transactions that are:

  • International Transactions;
  • Out-of-State Transactions; and
  • Transactions that are greater than $500
  • Card not Present Authorization (ex. Internet/Over the Phone Transactions)
